Klaxon and Screenshot – Android 1.5 Version

Quick update: I have made fixes to both Klaxon and Screenshot to support Android 1.5. However, I am still hearing reports from users that Klaxon does not work on Haykuro builds; the device goes into a reboot loop. Haykuro does not have a build based off the T-Mobile OTA update, so I can not provide support for his build- I believe he is using older/pre-release cupcake pieces in his current builds. Once he updates, I may look into the issue further.

I am currently running JF 1.5, and have no issues with either application. Unfortunately, I can not spend my time supporting every fork/tweaked version of Android (Haykuro, DudeOfLife, etc, etc). The only supported builds will be Retail and JF.

Klaxon works fine on the JF build and Haykuro Google-sourced build. Not on the Chunghwa/HTC sourced build.

It does however have issues when the screen is open and autorotate mode is enabled.

Also, why does your blog say the price is $0.99 yet the market charges $1.99?

It's not working for me on haykuro Google IO2009 (or Ion) build. Well sometimes it works... like when I have a night time alarm setup to see if it'll work, but the am alarms don't work.
Do you have an idea why? I'll offer to help test it if you want

Any update on Klaxon and cupcake? It still seems to not work at random. I need a more reliable alarm. I was almost late for work today.

Any chance of getting variable brightness as a feature? I'd like to be able to turn it way down so that I can use Klaxon as my bedside alarm clock, but currently it's too bright and shines in my eyes.

The app, Nightclock, for example, is nice and dim but has no alarm clock.

Unreliable on Dude's 1.3RC2. Same for every other Android 1.5 build I've tried so far.

I'm a developer also and know how some bugs can be hard to track... but this one is a total show stopper. If you can't figure it out, hand the source code to someone who can!

Is not working for Rogers HTC Dream (rooted).
Installation is fine, after setting 1st alarm, the phone gets force reboot and keep rebooting on HTC screen. Full recover required.

OS version, Android 1.5
Feel free to email me for further details.

Not reliable on t-mobile ota update to 1.5. If it won't work on official release, you might as well yank it. It doesn't take too many people late to work before you lose all customers...

Works great on my G1 with Cyanogen 4.0.1. Works poorly on wife's Magic 32B (mytouch) with the same ROM. The alarm fires, buzzes once, then stops. Still trying to figure it out. JF has pulled out of the scene and won't be doing further updates; I suggest checking out Cyanogen.

Thanks for the love today with the new version mentioning a fix regarding Cyanogen rom.

Would you please fix the flip-snooze on HTC Hero? I bought the app and found out the hard way that the G-Sensor stuff won't work

Does the Hero not have a compass? The new version is using the compass to do flip detection, and not the accelerometer. I can add a setting that allows you to toggle that.

Is Klaxon compatible with the new Motorola Droid and Android 2.0?
